Big Mac's at Bulls games? Who really cares?

Over the years I really haven't given much thought to the Bull promotion that gives ticket holders a free Big Mac if the team scores 100 points (or more) It was always just a fun thing to see if the team could get to 100 and was something to cheer for even if the game was a blowout. As many Bulls games as I've been to over the years, I can't recall one time where I actually went and got my Big Mac. I never really cared because I don't really think Big Mac's are very good anymore, but that's kinda beside the point

It seems though as time goes on Fans take this "Promotion" more and more seriously. It has become so bad that home fans are actually boo-ing because the team didn't get them a free hamburger. This has become so strange that over the past few seasons players seem to be going out of their way to get to 100 if the score is close because they don't want to let the fans down. Kirk and Rose have gone through similar situations to the one that Joakim has just gone through. It such a big deal that Joakim takes a 3 pointer in garbage time just to get the fans the burger even though the Bulls had closed the game out.  Joakim later apologized Which I thought was hilarious. I mean, he's just having fun and trying to give the fans something to cheer about and the Bulls had the game in hand with 3 seconds left...but Coach Thibs wants a "Championship" mentality and I guess I can't blame him for DEMANDING his team treat the game with respect. I always appreciate a coach like that...but this seemed a little overboard.

That being said, COME ON FANS! Who the hell cares about a crappy burger that you probably wont get/eat anyways? You realize that the IMPORTANT THING is that the Bulls won and are playing well even without their franchise player? Time to get your priorities straight people! It's a Mickey D's burger that cost a few dollars. It's not good for you either.

I think that maybe it's time that the Bulls stop this promotion. Not only out of respect for the game, but respect for their fans health.
